Yes...I admit it...

I am a slacker, and haven't updated my blog in forever. Going to try and start fresh. Which means I cannot possibly post everything that has happened in my life since the last post.....so most likely they will be infrequent (not promising anything I can't deliver) and probably random. Hope to add something soon.

..sigh..young love..

I have said it time and time again, I do believe engagement sessions are my absolute favorite type of photography. It is such a joy to witness young love. Their ability to have fun with each other no matter where or what they are doing.

This particular e-session was and is very special to me... I can honestly say I have know this young woman all her life! From the time she was born until now, every single wonderful day. You probably have guessed by now that is my daughter.

And the wonderful young man that has captured her heart. If you have been following my posts you may have seen images of them at Christmas. Todd is the only young man she has shared her family Christmas with , I guess she was saving that experience for "the one"..lol, because it's noisy with lots of cousins and not for the faint of heart. He was a real trooper and came through with flying colors.
I don't think she really wanted me to shoot their pics, but as time passed they became comfortable and just started playing around. And with most of my couple's I shoot, try to kiss when I am not ready...darn it. But I did manage to capture a few.

I am truly honored that I did get to shoot their engagements pics and witness how much fun they have together, I will leave you with this shot.
I think they are perfect for each other and it will definitely be a fun wedding November 7th!
Until later.....

Ashley and Jake....what a wedding!

I have never been to a wedding that was this much fun. Ashley and Jake chose the Farmers Market in Oklahoma City for their wedding day. Everything was perfect, the music, table decorations and oh ....the lighting.
Of course the bride was beautiful and the groom handsome and what a celebration they had. Here is a sneak peek, but check back I might just have to add more images as I get them edited....Congratulations!!!

Seasons change...

...and so must I. With warm temperatures and the lush green grass, it's hard for some to not indulge. I am just kidding, the header pic is one of many I took yesterday during Mikey and Meagan's engagement shoot. And since their wedding is coming up soon, they get the honor of being at the beginning of the blog.
More images coming soon, I promise...

No stopping this one!

It is past due for a post, apologies!.........This little red head will definitely give you a run for your money. For the entire 1 1/2hrs we shot, she never stopped.

Mom and grandma were there and she also kept them running.

Hmmm........which way shall I go?....Can't catch me........
She also had the most devilish little laugh you have ever heard. I had a hard time keeping my camera still, because every time she laughed I couldn't help but laugh with her.

She did take a little breather, I think it lasted maybe.......5 seconds, long enough for me to grab this shot.

Yep.......that's about as long as it lasted and there she goes!
Remember mom, there really are no "terrible two's", enjoy every minute, because they grow up in a heartbeat!
Trust me, I know.

Family

Christmas is important in many ways.......As we celebrate the birth of our Lord (that is why I refuse to abbreviate it, it is and always will be CHRISTmas that is the reason for the season, right?) it is also a time to reconnect. Reconnect with family, friends and relatives. I guess relatives can be friends?(depends.. on what kind of family you come from!) Fortunately for me, I do have wonderful family, yes we fuss at each other, but hey...who doesn't?
We all get together several times a year to reconnect. Find out what's going on in each other lives. Birthdays, summer cook outs, pool time and any other reason we can find to reconnect.
I am doing something out of the ordinary for my blog this time.
I am giving you a glimpse into our family celebration. This is my husband's side of the family as my side has slowly passed away. (Yes, sad I know but like I said I am fortunate.) So have fun and take a peek at our day

This is my son, Brandon and his grandma. I captured a truly wonderful moment. If I could just get that beard off him....arg!
Side note.........he gives the most wonderful hugs, big strong bear hugs, one of my favorite things in the world. I love you bud.
Edit- he just came by and the beard is gone......woohoo!

After dinner and time for random discussions, everything from family, world finance........yada yada yada boring, think I will head to where the fun is, gameroom.
This is Tanna and Shane, my niece and nephew, so cute together and expecting their first. I know they will make great parents. Congratulations if I didn't tell you earlier.
Kassie, Tanna , Logan and Lauren

And of course the girls are always up for photo op. I must say I do believe they are some of the prettiest girls around, can I say that? Yes I can, it's my post and I have literary license...lol.
They also don't mind piling on top of each other, and are always up for a challenge. (watch out guys they refuse to let you win at wii)
New and uncharted waters for my daughter. She brought "the boy"(my nickname for him, not his choice I am sure) home for the holiday. She has never introduced a guy she is dating to the whole family, and much less on Christmas day!
Turns out Todd is already friends with some of the family from college days, small world? But boy did she surprise everyone! She likes to do that type of thing ........
We are not a quiet group by any means, as the games get started the competition and the noise level gets stuck on "loud".
I think my mother in law laughed the most as she watched all the grandkids be "kids" again.
The boys get very competitive, BJ and Justin are wii boxing and I had to keep reminding them to step back from the tv. They were getting carried away as guys do.
And of course there is always the Christmas ham! BJ one of my fave's.
Thanks to DeNiece and Randy for allowing us all to reconnect and have a blast on Christmas day!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
